Opaline Sex-Linked (Recessive)
This mutation is recessive to normal striping. With female budgies, this mutation will show when only one allele is present, (since the W chromosome doesn't hold any color genes) but with male budgies, opaline will only show when they have both alleles. Opaline budgies have thinner black stripes on their head and the back of their neck, because of this, their body color can be found between the stripes on the back of the neck and into the wing feathers a bit. Their tails also have somebody color running down them and their flight feathers have clear areas.
